Morgan County building-permit pre-review
In Morgan County, uploading building plans starts the pre-review path. It does not start plan review by itself. Submit the application and supporting documents through Civic Review. Review begins after the payment and all requested items are in.
The first pass determines whether the property also needs a land-use, geoscoping, floodplain, or address application. Those are possible dependencies, not a list that applies to every project. The plan-review deposit is not the final permit fee, either.
A property with a private well or onsite wastewater system has a separate health-department lane. The Weber-Morgan Health Department starts onsite-wastewater review with site feasibility. If a private well will supply the property, that well must be permitted, installed, and approved before the department can issue the onsite-wastewater permit.
Begin with a clear description of the work and site, then follow the dependency list returned in pre-review. Use the live county page for the current application and fee steps. When a well or wastewater system is involved, open the health-department route at the same time instead of waiting for county plan review to uncover it.
