Davis County emissions: check the 2026 model-year table

For a Davis County registration renewal in 2026, start with the vehicle’s model year. Utah DMV lists 2024, 2022, and 2020 through 1968 as requiring an emissions inspection. It lists 2026, 2025, 2023, 2021, and 1967 or older as not required under the model-year table. That table is specific to 2026; use the current DMV page for a later renewal year.

The model year is not always the last word. Vehicle type, fuel, weight classification, and an applicable exemption can change the answer. Davis County also has separate routes for diesel-powered vehicles, farm trucks, waivers, and temporary out-of-state deferrals.
