Antelope Island's causeway and ranch
The island's only road crosses seven miles of causeway, while Fielding Garr Ranch carries its human history from 1848 to the state-park era.
The road to Antelope Island starts at Interstate 15 Exit 332. Antelope Drive runs west to the park entrance, followed by seven miles across the Davis County Causeway. That causeway is the island’s only road access; the old south causeway is not an alternate route.
On the southeast side of the island, Fielding Garr Ranch adds a long human record to the Great Salt Lake landscape. The ranch house dates to 1848 and remained inhabited until 1981, when the island became a state park.
The park uses a Syracuse mailing address, but Utah State Parks manages the island. Its live park page is the place to check changing fire restrictions, construction notices, event hours, closures, water conditions, and facility hours.
