Reading Utah's Report 600 tax-area codes
Report 600 uses numeric and letter-bearing tax-area identifiers; the county, full code, and report year belong together.

A label such as 01A-0000 in Utah’s tax-rate report is a lookup key, not a percentage.
The official 2025 Report 600 contains 1,726 tax-area totals across all 29 counties. Its identifiers include three-digit numbers, mixed letter-number codes, four-digit numbers, and alphabetic codes. Letters and leading zeroes are part of the printed identifier.
Read the county name, full tax-area identifier, and report year together. The rate is the number in the report’s Final Adopted Tax Rate column, not the digits in the identifier. Because Report 600 is issued by year, do not carry a code-and-rate match into a later year without checking the newer report.
When matching a valuation notice or tax notice, use the exact county and full code shown there. If the notice and report do not line up, check the current county parcel record before relying on the rate.
